Big Ideas,
Real Impact.
As your Representative, I come up with ideas for legislation based on real life experiences of my constituents. This coming session, I’ll continue to work on affordability, protecting the most vulnerable, saving our state from harsh federal policies, and more - it’s hardly an exhaustive list! But if you have an idea, please let me know. We can work together to keep Connecticut moving forward.

The past few years, I have introduced legislation to force a state takeover of Eversource to make a state run not-for-profit utility, making our electric grid beholden to residents, not shareholders, and allow for moe municipal electric. This coming session, I will also introduce legislation to pilot an Electric-Share program between Cheshire, Hamden, and Wallingford Electric. Wallingford Electric has lower rates and better service than Eversource or UI, and we all should benefit from their good work. In return, Wallingford will generate revenue to keep their taxes down. Its a win-win-win!

Since being elected, I have been successful in bringing home more funding than ever, resulting in offsetting property tax increases. But now it’s time to think bigger. I will propose legislation to automatically refer a municipality to state budget oversight for any one-year property tax percentage increase over 4%, and require oversight for any mill rate over 40 mills. It will help our towns be more fiscally responsible, and result in taxing you less.

I will do everything I can to keep the MAGA agenda out of our fine state; keep ICE from snatching good, hard-working citizens; protect our free speech, open press and fair elections; and defend the Constitution and The Bill of Rights will every ounce of my being. I believe in America, and the ideals which truly make us great - life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all.
